There is no way to retract a bid that I know of. These usually sell Get it Now but also get a lot of bids, so hopefully you will be outbid soon and it will free up your credits. You can click on the "help" link and submit a support ticket and see if there's a category for retracting a bid, but I've never looked for one.

I do lose track of them. I browse gift card listings constantly and then look for the ones that are ending when I'm on the computer. It's not a very scientific system.

Generally what I do is put in a bid low enough to get out bid quickly. I prefer to "watch" listings on my bidding list. Unfortunately I can't do that with sellers who are starting their bidding really high, I just don't want to tie up all my credits with a high opening bid. That's why I start all my listings at 9 credits. It allows people to "safely" put in a bid and then track the listing. I think it helps me get a lot of action on my listings.

Your right , I hate when people start bidding the thousands because low starting bids are what attract people!
So I try to make my starting bids as low and reasonably as possible.

I think a lot of people who are doing that will find their items don't sell at all, because people don't have the opportunity to bid low and get them on their bidding list. But, less competition for those of us who start our listings low!

Thanks sweetie, you are doing well on Listia, but keep looking for ways to modify your selling strategy. I change my listings and strategies all the time. Watch how other sellers write their descriptions, etc., to get some ideas on how to increase bids to your items. It's a good intellectual exercise. I get a little burned out on it sometimes, but generally I enjoy it.
