These are cool beads. They have a matte finish with 'veins' on it. I thought they were something else when I bought them. To me they feel funny-my husband likes them and doesn't mind the feel at all! To each their own! Happy bidding. These beads are 10mm.

The title of the beads was "10mm Dream Fire Dragon Round Veins Agate Loose Beads 15". There was no real description. I am not sure they are what they were supposed to be. They could be but I doubt it. They are not acrylic or plastic. They are supposed to be agate-I am not sure, So I am saying they are some kind of stone as not to mislead anyone.

Dragon vein is a real agate that has been heat treated to create the striations or "veins". The brilliant blue and pink colors come because it is dyed to that color. They are super popular right now on most auction sites. The heat treatment does not damage the agate in anyway other than to create the crackle look. It is still a very sturdy stone.
