Book 1:
The story is about Jun Pil-Hyun, who is a feminine pretty boy who tries to learn to be a manly man and win over the heart of his crush, Che Song-Ah, as well as escape the pressures of his disapproving father. He also wants to put Yi, his manly nemesis, in his place. He ends up finding a comic book titled "Escape from Being a Pretty Boy" and finds that it is a complete parallel to his life.

He looks for the author of the book in hopes of being mentored by him, but when he finds him, he turns out to be a she and he meets two other woman who are roommates with the author of the comic book who seem to be sexually over-zealous and take him in because they are interested in the boy.

Book 2:
Pained by unrequited love, Pil-Hyun dreams all day about Song-Ah, but confronting his feelings leads him down tragedy's path. He finds out that the handsome and irresistible Gyung-Ju Lee is seeking favor with Song-Ah! Does Pil-Hyun stand a chance against Gyung Lee?

Book 3:
Pil-Hyun continues to stumble through the answer to the age-old question, "What is love?" After Pil-Hyun has a run in with Hyun-Ja, the close encounter leads to a conversation about her chances at rekindling a love affair with the sexy Bok-Nam. She even drops some good love advice on Pil-Hyun. But will he take this advice to heart... or continue to be lost in love?

Book 4:
What started off as a harmless rumor to get Sook-Hee off of Gyung-Ju's back has snowballed into so much more! Pil-Hyun is kept busy by Gyun-Ju, who seems to be absolutely everywhere, while Song-Ah, his long-time love, won't even talk to him! To make things worse, even his best friend is convinced that he is doomed! What is going on? How is Pil-Hyun going to fix the situation? And what is going on with him and Bok-Nam?
