Thanks . To finish my thought. I wouldnt use the pine tar or lye to treat dry skin. these are made to dry the oils in the skin. the oatmeal would work however. I need to make some with eucalyptus for a bug repellent.

since this dries oils in the skin, would this be a good choice in clearing acne problems or just preventing them?

Hi, I had a customer that bought this in the antique store that i have them in and she had her daughter which had acne on her forehead, start using it immediately and she told me that within 3 days they could tell that it was getting rid of the acne. I use it on my face everyday to help prevent my acne, which seems to get worse at a certain time of the month and i can tell that it really helps me not to get that 1 big zit that i always got. So i would have to say it is good for both. Audrey
