The listing, Vintage Collectible Hummel Pull String Music Box has ended.

Vintage Hummel Music Box, pull string & the music box plays song "Close to you" Very Old item, still plays slowly & beautifully, however the box does has a loose piece inside somewhere that you can hear rattle when you pick it up. Has stamp "Japan" on back

I just love this! My dad was stationed in Germany in the early 50's and their landlord gave one of these to my mom. I played with it when mom would take it off the mantle. The last time the army moved us it got lost along with many of her Hummel pieces. I would love to win this for my mom. It would bring back some great memories. Fanned, watching and bidding!

Wow that is Really Cool!!! I am so sorry it got lost, you just brought back memories of the navy packing my family & moving us to Puerto Rico, there we were greeted with yes years of nice weather but we still had lots of broken items, missing things, & worst of all Hurrican Hugo So we slept in the hallway for a week!!!!! All the windows would just crush if you stood by them... Wow Memories!!! Anyhow, *IF* this piece does well here, I may be auctioning off another similar to this from my personal collection. My collection has just grown & I'm moving soon across country would like to part with a couple pieces to people who will treasure them like i have.

:) We actually still have it! (She just passed back in Sept ) But she's had it for as long as I can remember. I'm pretty sure she had gotten it from my Pap when they had first gotten married (which was in the late 40's!) She collected lots of Hummles over the years (we still have all those too!)
