One is a shoe, what is the other one as there is not a second picture. Is the canvas stamped or is it counted cross stitch?

I have never done it or been shown where to even start. I also don't think with my eyes I would have the patience for counting. Thelma is in hospital and they are putting in a stent today. I am so worried.
