Blackberry bold 9000. Just bought the phone from someone and it worked perfectly for 2 days, when the battery died and i went to charge it all i get is a red light like shown in the picture and the phone doesnt power up, I dont know what the issue is but it should be able to be fixed. Trusted seller and I do my best to give an accurate description of all items. The phone comes with the wall charger/usb and car charger.

I've done research as well but could not find anything useful so had no choice but to order the 5$ new battery on eBay....as I think it might be a battery issue....thats such a shame about your money, and I was complaining when I got mine for only 25k credits and zero money lol..... I had already left feedback for the person I got it from so no getting my credits back there... Waste of credits and the money I had to spend to get them pretty much...I'll let you know if using a new battery works for this issue.

Wow! SAME EXACT thing happened to me (same ossue with phone and everything) and I got mine here on listia AND it was falsely described as a 9700....weird..

lol. we traded our $500 phone to a girl for this phone and $100. She told us it was a 9900 when in actuality it is a 9000. So basically we got ripped for $400. I don't like to be lied to but she will receive her punishment for being vindictive. And I have done research online but am unable to get the phone to power up.. I looked on ebay a new battery is right around $5 but I dont see the point in me losing any more money on this phone.

The problem your having with this phone is that you need to take it to AT&T and have the software reloaded, somehow you either shut the phone off or removed the battery during a software update and caused the software to become corrupt. The red light means it's trying to boot which it can't if the software is corrupt. Have AT&T reload the software and you should be good to go.

I saw your earlier comment about the phone you bought falsely claimed to be a 9900, well i have a bold 4 (9900) but the screen has some water damaged but only cost like $45 to be fixed *i checked* idk if you're interested. #justsaying

I think that guy might be right about the software issue, I remember my bb. Trying to do some kind of update previous to it not working anymore.....the problem is that I have no plan with AT&T and plus no original software to reload the software on the phone....is yours still working?

it is working as long as I have the sim card out of the phone I have not placed the sim card back in to see if it works that way,
