This is Dinopals - 12 fun phonics books (boxed set) from Scholoastic. These books are based on research about how children learn to read. Included is a parent letter about the set. The books themselves are in good shape. The box has some wear and has a rip on the bottom. It also has a handle so that your little one can carry the set. I used these with my kids and they loved them. The stories are short enough that they can get through them but at the same time they are long enough to give your child a sense of achievement. Nice listing!! I always say its never to early for a child to be introduced to new books, but is there a age group on these? I have learning time set aside each day for my 4yr old. I love sets like this even if I have to store them till she's a bit older. Thanks a bunch!! Already a fan & watching!! :)

This set is for the reader that knows some words and that kind of sort can read. If you are familiar with the Dick and Jane series.....I would consider this a step up from those. But even if your child can't read yet, after a few times of reading them to them, the child will pick up on some of the words. I hope that makes sense?
