Description

The listing, Angel Wings Begonia has ended.

This is a Angel wings Begonia when its in bloom there are little red hearts hanging in clusters and the seeds follow not long after, I had an elderly lady give me a piece of the stem to put in the dirt about 6or7 yrs ago I take it in when the weather starts getting cold in the fall, the leaves are shaped like Angel wings and are dark shiny green with white dots all over it on the front side on the back it's a burgundy color.Ive started so many of these over the years and give them as gifts to family and friends, what you will recieve will be 1 rooted clipping the seeds havent came out on there yet,Ive not started any with the seed pods I've always just broke off part of a stem and rooted it in either water or dirt and as long as its kept wet it does fine...I always tell folks when I give them one "you've earned your Angel Wing's".Mine have gotten approx 2 to2.5 feet tall and just hang with those beautiful red hearts,I like to pair these up with a Peace Lily in a beautiful flower pot.

sorry so long to get back with you, I have a mostly shady yard and keep mine on my front porch thats where the morning sun comes in at and just by a window during cold months when I take them in for winter,I've found the ones in more sunlight kinda change a different color green a lighter color, hope this helps you a little

How is the plant packed and shipped? I had one of these for about 5 years and I lost both the parent and all my rooted cuttings to freeze in Feb., 2011 winter. I never thought I'd find another...hope I win!!!

The change in leaf color can be extraordinary! I have seen them go from a deep green on top with a light red below to a dark, grey-green with silver spots as shown here, with deep maroon below...its difficult to describe but they are terrific. I'd just like to lnow how they are shipped...I've received a few mistakes...just curious. Thanks.
