This auction is for 20 papaya seeds. This is a Mexican papaya called "Mexican Yellow". These are heavier and larger than the Hawaiian types, this one was approx. 6 pounds and tasted pretty damn good!
The papaya is a melon like fruit with yellow-orange flesh enclosed in a thin skin that varies in color from green to orange to rose. Papayas are a rich source of vitamin A and C. One half of a small papaya can provide 150% of the recommended dietary intake of Vitamin C. It is low in calories, fat free, cholesterol free, and a good source of potassium, folate, and fiber.

Me too. For what it's worth, this one has more of the "musky" papaya taste and isn't quite as sweet. I eat it with a spoon but I think it would probably be good in salads and cooking.
