Description

The listing, "Miniature Jade Plant" or "Elephant Food Tree" has ended.

OOPS! Pics 3 and 7 are mistakes and I cannot figure out how to remove them...but 7 is cute anyway, right? Anyway, this lovely plant is not an actual "Jade Plant" but is often referred to as one due to how much alike it looks to Jade Plants. However the petals are much smaller than a Jade Plant and it has much more of a "tree" like appearance than the Jade Plant so it can easily be made into a Bonsai. I will be sending the winner 3 rooted 3"-6" plants directly propagated from the mature one in the pics. If there are any questions or concerns please feel free to ask.

The actual name is "Elephant Food Plant" and the scientific name is Portulacaceae afra. DavesGarden.com can tell you all you need to know about it. But I suggest you simply Google "elephant food plant" and look at the images for ideas of how this wonderful plant can be grown...it is a wonderful bonsai, but is also wonderful as a house plant, inside or out, and even in a garden once it is large enough. Propagation is simple and you will even be able to make clones of your own to offer on Listia. Again, any questions or comments, feel free as I am pleased to answer what I can.
