Pattern includes photo of the basic hat pattern and photos of the three versions made from the basic hat instructions with changes made.

Instructions written easy for reader to follow (American English terms)

Five pages, due to five photos but these are helpful.

Size: newborn (11.5 - 12" head circumference), 0-3 mo (12" - 13.5" head circumference) and 3-6 mo (13.5 -14.5" head circumference).

Level of experience: beginner advanced

Stitches used for all four caps (not all stitches used in each one): ch, dc, hdc, sc, sl st, trc Special stitches: shell, dc cross stitch

Materials needed: baby sport yarn (I use Bernat Softee baby sport yarn) - F hook for newborn size, G hook for 0-3 mo size, H hook for 3-6 mo size - yarn needle - satin ribbon, optional

NOTE: these caps are smaller in size than most crochet pattern baby caps. This was my purpose for designing them. Caps I made for my newborn grandchildren from other crochet patterns were always too large and none of the grandchildren were smaller than average. Use the head circumference size to determine what size you need to make before making.
