I had high hopes for this 8GB 4th Generation Apple iPod Nano when I accepted it as part of a local video card trade last month. It is Lime Green, and it has a laser inscription on the back. It is in great condition, and the nice gentleman I got it from told me that it simply had not been used for at least two years and just had a dead battery. Well, I have tried charging it several times - recently leaving it on the charger for a full 24 hours - and it does absolutely nothing. Nada! I looked at a Youtube video about changing the battery myself and am quite confident after seeing the complications involved that I should not make the attempt (unless I want to render it completely useless and throw it in the trash afterwards, Lol) - so it's up for grabs. I don't know what is wrong with it. I only know what I was told when I accepted it - and I can't get it to charge so I can't verify either way. It's clearly one for the Nano Pros!!

If it's not working you need to have it's battery repaired/replaced. Apple/Mac charges $79 to change the battery or you can take it to your local electronic repair man for $25. If you know how to pull off the screen, You can change the battery for $10. This is common in Ipod nano's. That's why I prefer The itouch.

Good info, Thank You. I considered changing it - thinking all that it required was sliding out the old and sliding in the new. The battery is $3.95 with tools on eBay, and about the same on Amazon. Nothing scary - until I watched the video on how to go about changing it! Definitely not a simple task for the layman, in my opinion.

Ha, yeah I understand. I felt that way about repairing my car and computer, but they run fine now.
If your really sure about selling this ipod nano let me know :) I'd really love to give this thing a try, but I got to get enough credits first though :P
