I understand where you are coming from on the shipping. I've been auctioning off magic cards and the shipping costs were a lot higher than I thought. I charged for the shipping but still ended up paying quite a bit out of pocket! It really is surprising how much it costs to send out cards!

Yeah it is lol. That's why I prefer doing small auctions like these so that way it costs nothing for both me and the winner. :)

I was told at my post office that unless your envelope is flat it has to be shipped at bulk postage rates which are higher. Also it depends on what region you are shipping to and that regions surcharges. It is not flat rate shipping unless you use a flat rate box which is still normally higher than the bulk rate. I have been paying between $4.35-5.56 for shipping with tracking and the padded mailer envelopes to mail 100 MTG magic cards. Because I can't afford that, I charge for the shipping. So I completely understand where you are coming from. Don't sweet it!

I will probably start doing that sooner or later.. though I only take money orders so most won't go for that. I like your advice though thanks :) it made more sense to me lol
