A founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (now in their 44th year) John McEuen now joins forces with a pair of super-talented, musical chips off the ol’ block: sons, Jonathan and Nathan, inThe McEuen Sessions – For All the Goodan evolution of McEuen’s vision as his boys step forward to blend their own musical influences with those of their legendary dad. It’s a colaboration of familial talent, literally a lifetime in the making. According to McEuen, “The album is a culmination of my sons’ influences that come from everything from Phish to Johnny Cash to the Beatles to The Band. Then, throw into the mix their having had a dad who’s been in a band for 45 years, and what that meant growing up,” says John. Though touring often separated the McEuens, it also provided adventures, camaraderie – and hands-on musical training.
