Like I said this is the orgianal box and price tag but JCPenny's is not known for there high quality jewelry, but don't really think they would sell/miss label there stuff either. I have always thought that all 10k gold is platted not solid. cant see any markings on the back.

10k gold is about 38% gold with other metals but its real gold and 14k gold is 58% real gold. but all jewelery since like 1961 has to be stamped in some way or another so i guess i answered my own question. good luck my friend!

I agree with they should be stamped somehow, some way and looked very very closely with 2 magnifiers and bright light and can see no markings, not trying to mislead anyone just telling what I know. and they are not ferrous (magnetic)

I would think that also if I was not there when they were bought and the hole they make in the cardboard is very distinctive tell it has'nt been changed.
