The listing, Vintage Victorian Detailed Sterling Ring has ended.

This is a Vintage Victorian ring, its sterling could use a polish, I have not polished it. The center is large, and I do not know what kind of stone it is, and my gem tester only test on stones like ruby, sapphire, iolite, tanzanite, emerald etc. At first I thought it was a Larimar, but really it is more green then the pale blue. Its a small size 4.75, free shipping.

The setting, the mount you can search it and the styles they had. Many with this exact mount. They had different styles and used certain stones more often during certain periods of the Victorian era. The mount is from the Victoria area, styles have changed through out the years and most jewelry you can spot the year by its style...plus my jeweler said it was lol. But I can pretty much tell a lot by looking at any piece of jewelry because I have sold jewelry for over 30 years, and just love it.

The stone sort of looks like a genuine malachite

Thanks I was hoping to get feedback from others, it is not malachite, as I do have a large collection of malachite and holding it side by side is really off. The malachite is a much deeper green side by side, this is more like a cross between larimar and green turquoise. But who knows maybe its marble?? I should have asked the jeweler, I did take it there when I had a tray of gold taken in to be tested. But they really dont like to give out too much detail on stones/diamonds unless you pay for their appraisal at 50 a pop on up. They are pretty good to tell you the metal and test them as well as the era or setting/mount with out gouging you for an appraisal :)

I own blue larimar earrings I agree the white clouds look very similar, I wonder if could also be jade? I love the color either way, I am an emerald baby.
