Description

The listing, U.S. Military - Infrared IR Reflector Tape for Night Time Friend or Foe Identification has ended.

Military - Infrared IR Reflector Tape for Identification of Friendly Forces

This is sewn on to helmet covers & uniforms so Friendly Units show up on Night Vision with a Bright Glow wherever these are placed. it reflects the infrared light from a NV device but does not reflect normal light. this is a small piece that would be ideal for the top, back or side of a helmet cover. most helmet covers have a velcro flap that can cover the reflector for when you dont want to be more visible in a nightvision device.

This can also be used for Educational Purposes such as Science Experiments dealing with Infrared Light.

The First Picture shows it reflecting the infrared light from my TV Remote. Your eyes are not able to see it though. My Camera can see it because it can pickup a greater frequency Range of Lightwaves than the human eye. nightvision will see it better than my camera and it is amplified so you can imagine how bright it would look through a night vision device.

These should not & will not be shipped to other Countries (given to the enemy)

U.S. Army Navy Marines USMC Iraq Afghanistan Airsoft Paintball Night Vision Infrared IR USGI Issue

Thanks for Looking! Good luck to everyone that bids.

its a 1/2" by 1" . and it needs sewed on to a helmet cover or what ever you want. but it is the size for a helmet cover that has velcro flaps to hide this piece of reflector tape.

Is there something wrong with your site? I try to bid 252 (I have that) on your current high bid that is 202 and it won't take it!

hmm thats weird.. you would have to ask listia support. i have no control over this site working correctly. either talk to them or maybe wait a lil bit and try again. ive had a few weird issues trying to bid on other auctions and it not letting me even though i had enough credits. never did figure out what causes that. but luckily there is still a couple days left and not a few hours or minutes. so you have time to try and figure out what the deal is, and hopefully get your bid in. thanks for your interest , but sorry i cant be more helpul with your problem. let me know if you find anything out.

if you have a digital camera you can use it to look at the light emitted from your tv remote or any remote that uses IR... give it a try its pretty cool. once you see the light i am talking about you will understand.

these do not reflect regular daylight or a flashlights light that we see (thats why it is black). only reflects infrared. night vision scopes shine a bright infrared light and then amplifies it. so you can see in the dark with out using visible light. so if he aims his night vision at a friendly soldier wearing a reflector he will see a super bright spot (since the scopes own light is being reflected back at it) on the soldier, indicating he is on the same side. these are for Friend or Foe Identification. helmets are issued with glow in the dark bands called cats eyes that are on the back of helmets so you can see the person infront of you during the night. this reflector is the same principle but for the people using NVG's to be able to see you.

i got it from walmart.... haha jk i got it from the interwebs. forget where though. it was a site that sells military stuff. this is a left over piece from when i pimped out my helmet to mil-spec features. i dont play or buy anything from places that deal with airsoft stuff (not knocking airsoft i just want real deal hardware ) so this is legit military gear.

oh yeah.... lawbriand... eotechs are not a NVG device unless you are using flip down NVG goggles attached to your helmet, in conjunction with your Eotech & Magnifier. so a eotech alone will not see anything more than what you see in the normal pictures...
the PVS series night vision goggles run anywhere from $3000-$7500 so you probly wont be using what our troops use as far as NVG's go, but Night Vision is Night Vision. you can get Hunter Grade Monocular Night vision relatively cheap.. $300-$600

I know that eotechs don't work as night vision it just makes it invisible by eye and only can be seen by nvg
