Thanks, this one is a bit of a snorter from the one you won a few weeks ago, When I got this particular note I was able to buy 5 of them from a friend that collects in Mozambique! I used to have people in different countries where we could trade currencies but so much has changed in fact some of my banknote buddies have died already, Others have moved and are almost impossible to track down! A few decades ago one could send the embassy in another country some American loot and they would send you the equal amount in the countries currency but that has been taken care of now where you can't!!! Thanks again and sorry for rambling~

Oh thanks I do appreciate it! I know that I enjoy talking about stuff like this and so some times just take it for granted that everyone else enjoys it too~ I don't know if there is anyone thing that I can illustrate as a must do concerning banknotes but I could try, 1, Try to never fold them this decrease there appeal and value 2. PVC free plastic holders to store them, as pvc will eventually turn them a brownish color, just a tip as from experience learning the hard way, oh you should be on the lookout for a Standard catalog of world paper money they are covered yearly with additions just like coins! The banknote books are much thicker and they break them down into books like the one I have in my lap now covers banknotes from 1650 a.d. to 1960 a.d. then the next volume picks up from 1961 and carries through to the current year (which is always a year behind) such as 2009 as 2010 currency is still being printed! They are by Krause Publishers if you are interested in finding them the hardcovers cost more than the paperbacks and are more durable but I must emphasize that once you have them you will know what a tool you have after a few uses~ They pack each issue with great tips facts photos ect., To a Christian there tool to learn about God is mainly the Bible, to a Notaphylist (term that is used to describe a collector of banknotes) there Krause catalog is just as important! Also if your interested there are numerous clubs/groups you can join that will send out pamphlets and printings monthly about news concerning banknote collectors they also give shows dates and places!

WOW, you know your stuff!!! I am so impressed that I am going to be a fan of yours. Maybe you would like to be a fan of mine. My expertise is Postage stamps. Almost 60 years a collector. Thanks for the information, it really helps.

Thanks very much I appreciate it but AM still learning each day and each issue! I do stamps to, well I just buy the old collections at estates and auctions ect., I have a bunch but have never gotten into them as far as selling goes as I have been told that it is a hard sale as far imperferates and such are concerned (spelling let me know as I am using terms that are part of your realm and don't want to be an english hack! :) Yes I will fan you shortly I still haven't figured out what that does, I have a few that I am a fan of but I don't get messages or anything letting me know when they have listed! :( Q. Do you sell stamps or just collect them? Would it be worth my time to list some of my duplicates on here? Note I don't collect modern issues only stamps that I have are all below 5 cents usually all are used. Many 1 c stamps that I have and would love to know if there is anything I can do with them?

I also am not sure just what being a fan is all about. Maybe acceptance , I don't know. I think that you will do much better offering your Banknotes. You seem to do quite well with them. I am a stamp collector for nearly 60 years now. I am offering all of my extras. I keep my asking bid low with the hope that I can get new people interested in collecting.
You are correct in that stamps are complicated. There is a lot more to collecting than one might think.
Keep up the great listings,
Virgil

Thanks I sure will, I saw that you had some up and I will have to take some time to look through them more in depth, I will have to maybe put some of the extras up in a lot or something and just be done with the stress of trying to come up with something to do with them :). Thanks again~
