Since 1842 Haviland has been made in Limoges, France, of the purest white clay available. Up for auction we have the 1976 "Sleepy Angels" ornament, crafted by Jean Jacques Prolongeau. His works represent the skill of the fourth generation of Haviland porcelain makers. These were given as a gift years ago, but just stored and never used.

The camera gives the angels a blueish tint, but they are white.

This is an ornament that has year-round appeal, and the paper insert shows different ways to display the ornament. It measures approximately 4.5" long, and comes in the original box. The front of the angel gowns are embossed with Noel and 1976, and the backs sport embossed snowflakes, and the Haviland name.
