To mracinginc: I went back and checked the auctions you won from me, you got probably the best Indian head penny I've ever listed for just over 100 credits when I was averaging around 550 for ones that weren't half as nice as the one you received! You also got a nice Indian head for just over 225credits. You got sone deals there! You could relist them and triple your credits! Also, if you liked the 1975(I think) proof penny you won from me, you'll love the two in this auction. One is my personal favorite. The detail is flawless, I believe it's the 70S proof I'm taking about. The sheen is mirror like. And the other proof penny listed in this auction Has much more detail and luster than the previous one you won from me. and you wouldn't believe the detail in the 92 proof nickel. I'm guessing it would rate at least at 69 and most likely ms70. It's stunning, I found it in a garage sale for a few bucks, and was going to send it to PCGS, but didn't want to spend the money they charge to grade coins now! But if it came back at a ms70, the price would be astronomical! I wouldn't even know the ballpark it would be in. So bid with confidence, and if you liked that one proof penny you already won from me,, you'd really love these two listed here. they are my last two Lincoln proofs.I do have a bu wheat penny if anyone is interested I'll put it up in a seperate auction.

Well everything you said was correct. Except these nickles are from 1942-1945 during a wartime metals shortage. And at the times, nickles were the least used form of change (still are) so not too many were made. It's in the millions, but not in the hundreds of millions. And these are collectable because they are the only nickles ever made to include silver. Now and before they were almost 100% nickel and copper. so while 1964 coins may have been masses produced to halt the melting, these were made 40+ years before, when all metals were scarce. In the 80's these nickles were worth about ten times face value for their silver, so a lot were melted. Melted in the 80's when silver was $50 an ounce, not 1964 when it was worth close to the value of the coin being made. Hope that helped! Thanks for looking!

It's worth about 10 cents, depending on condition, if it's circulated, it's worth a nickel.

At 12,500 the bonus is a holed seated liberty DIME. typo put "fine " instead of dime. And it's in extra fine condition!!!

Thanks. I've been wanting to do this one for a long time. Just got a new phone so I can take semi decent pictures. But this is the biggest coin collection ever listed on listia so far. (I think) 29 coins, with a possibility of 30, and 16 silver coins, including the entire rare silver war nickel set. It's got something for everyone! A lot of people don't realize that most of the silver nickles were melted down in the 80's when silver was $50 an ounce, so they are getting hard to come by. And not too many people have by quarters still in the mint plastic! And I'm leaving out all the proof coins! I'm proud of this auction and want to do well so I can buy more toys to donate! So pass the word on! Let's try tí get this auction featured! Thanks for looking!

****ANOTHER BONUS**** if it reaches 17,500 credits, I will thow in a SILVER PROOF STATE QUARTER. when the auction is over, I will let the winner choose from the ones I have. These are the quarters that are broken out of silver mint sets and are very limited in quanity! All ms 68+ possibly 70.

And if we reach the pinnacle of 75,000 I will add my silver proof Pennsylvania state quarter graded by PCGS at ms 68 into the auction as well. The most sought after proof set. That sells in the hundreds of dollars was broken open and this coin was sent to the most prestigious grading company for grading. It's one of my five of the set, but I'm willing to break it up it a miracle happens and someone let's loose with their credits.

I just read the rules about featured auctions, I don't think this one will make it due to the quality of my pictures. I have a bad camera, but I won't take it out on you guys, so no matter what, I'LL INCLUDE THE SILVER ROOSEVELT DIME! SO NOW IT'S 30 COINS, 17 SILVER COINS GUARANTEED! not a big addition, but at least it's an even number now.
Jul 26th, 2010 at 10:29:07 AM PDT by

If it reaches over 50,000 I'll include a rare flying eagle penny worth $25 itself. Has some dings on it, but there were only a few million that were ever made!

If this auction reaches 12,500 credits, I will add a holed seated liberty fine in Extra Fine condition, despite the obvious of course! But the rest of the coin is awesome, great detail and full liberty shield I believe. Just another bonus I'd thought I'd throw into the mix. This one has a good chance, this auction is worth 12,500 credits easy, if everything was sold seperatly, it would be way higher than 12.5k I average 800 for one Indian head penny! And at lest 500 for ANY silver coin! And this auction has 17 silver coins now in it with the free addition of the silver Roosevelt dime!
