The listing, 25+ Seeds for Soft & Fuzzy 'Lamb's Ears' Stachys Byzantina has ended.

Description: You will get 25+ seeds for bunches of lovely plants. I always send extra to all my fans to thank them for their business & for following my auctions.

In the summer months one of my favorite plants to enjoy is Stachys byzantina, otherwise known as ‘Lambs Ears’. This wonderful silver leafed plant is fantastic throughout the year for the borders due to is highly touchable & furry, extra soft leaves in the shape of, you’ve guessed it, lambs ears. However, as the summer sun reaches high into the sky you’ll find that this wonderful plant puts furry columns into the air with small pinkish / purple flowers creating small rings of colour around the stems.
This herbaceous plant is brilliant whether you use it in borders or in pots and is a must have for all gardeners. It’s touchable, it makes you smile, and it’s a great companion plant for creating contrast in the garden. With its textured and pale leaves it is ideal for planting alongside green individuals, setting each plant off to the best of it’s ability. It can very effectively be placed next to broad leafed plants such as Bergenia, while grasses also make a great backdrop. If you plant it into pots you’ll quickly creating a great mound of silver foliage that will clash magnificently with containers, especially if you used pots in blue hues.
Apparently there are some craft item, bows & cute things that can be made from the extra soft leaves of this plant. I just stumbled across this information & these sites a short while back. So I have never made any of these, but am very interested in doing so. Here is a good one with step by step instructions: http://www.naturaldesignsstudio.com/4/post/2012/08/crafting-with-lambs-ear-leaves.html

Note: I have bid a lot of times and can't seem to get this. As I seed swap a lot, I would like this seed, and I would like to grow it. Maybe I can win it sometime ibn the future.
