I personally have one of these and find that it works better than a regular washing machine as it gets the clothes cleaner because you have control of what order it cleans in. My recommendation is to put it in for a rinse cycle with no soap first, you'll know within the first two to three minutes if that should be a pre-rinse or a wash based on how dirty the water is. Once you find the water clean enough, run for an actual wash after spinning out the dirty water. The spinner almost dries your clothes, just needs tossed into the dryer or hung dry.
