The listing, Vintage 1950s / 60s Pressed Tin Cowboy Pin from Tombstone Junction, Kentucky has ended.
Up for bid is a vintage pressed tin Cowboy pin. This was a souvenir purchased at Tombstone Junction, Kentucky (not by me, but by former owner). Made in Japan is printed on the cowboy's shirt.
Tombstone Junction was a small western town themed park located in McCreary County, Kentucky near Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. It opened in the 1960s and featured a re-creation of a small western frontier town, complete with train station, steam train. saloon, dance hall, jailhouse, shanties, and shops.
It continued operation until the park was damaged by fire in 1989. After the fire, the park was in limited operation until being completely destroyed by another fire in 1991.
There is a short video I found of the place.
Pin is in new condition! It may have actually been made earlier (1940s) than when it was sold, but thought to have been purchased in 1960s. Smoke-free item.
