The listing, Beware of this scammer has ended.
Beware of this scammer. I almost lost my hard earned bank savings. Luckily it was declined by my bank. I'm from the Philippines and the culprit was based in Nicosia, Cyprus. Do not click the link and give your credit card details.
Questions & Comments
HI! Did you send in a support ticket reporting them??
The Mod will tell you that Listia will never make you go to an outside site for anything, if you get a message block and report them. SO glad you go out of it!!!
It looks like the account has already been deleted, but if it happens again, block and report through the Listia Support. If you need help with that you can always message me =_)
The email seems legit right, you will not suspect anything fishy. i panicked because I've been a Listia member for more than 10 years, i don't want to lose my account. I realized something is off when during our chatting, i saw that i or someone in my behalf was making a purchase i think in Amazon. Luckily my local bank texted me that my purchase was declined due to insufficient fund. Probably the culprit is making a purchase beyond my credit limit.
This scam has been going on for several months now. They've been deleting them as fast as they join, but I don't know how often the Mod is on lately :/ Yes, seems legit, but Listia won't ever send you to an outside site. I pulled up one of the links one time and my Avast Security auto blocked it for me, so I knew right away it wasn't Listia! I'm so happy your bank caught it. If you see them again, just immediately block them and report in a ticket ;D
