it takes 1 9 volt battery, hard to find, you have to unscrew the back to see it, thanks

the compartment for the battery is hard to find, it's from the 70s, not exactly cutting edge battery compartment, you have to literally unscrew the entire back panel compartment to find the battery, lol, didn't say it was hard to find 9 volts at the store, sheesh
