The olive, coconut and shea oils are all very good for the hair when used as a shampoo, especially if very dry. But yes, always use a diluted acidic rinse like vinegar (or citric or ascorbic acid if you don't like the vinegar smell) to balance ph and to help remove soap scum. But to prevent soap scum in the first place, try to use filtered water or soft water for washing. This particular bar has a lot of fir needles in it, so you may need extra rinsing, and you may end up smelling like a Christmas tree, due to the high content of essential oils. But you can make that choice!
