for those asking..tracfones typically only work with the tracfone company.
you may try and ask your service provider if you can use the phone w/them..

Yes, but the phone is inactive right now. The minutes are there, but the winner will have to purchase more airtime in order to activate the phone and use the minutes. They have a 30 minute airtime card on their website, it's $10, that's the cheapest one that I know of. So you could buy that one, and it would triple to 90 minutes, and those 90 minutes would be added to the 1,045 minutes to make 1135 minutes.

i have used tracfone for a long time...you have to get your own sim card and activate it fresh..its free and tracfone will ship it to you fedex..like 1-2 days
but then it will need to be activated..they never let me use my old sim in a new phone..they always send me a new sim chip and i can keep my phone # of course..
new users really cant use the old sims that are in it..unless maybe you want to keep the phone in previous owners name..that is

Awesome, thanks for the info.
If it is activated in someone else's name though - do they get to keep the minutes that are already on it?
If not, and they want to keep it in my name, I don't really care, that's fine, the new phone I'm getting is not a TracFone so I wont need that account anymore.

tracfone will tell them to get a new sim which is free...i am not 100% sure if theyc an 'roll over" the minutes or not..its possible...if they contact tracfone and talk w/them on the phone..theyre pretty helpful actually..i got a tracfone once with the persons minutes, but i didnt want to use the phone # that was from previous owner, so i just re-activated it with a new sim..they wouldnt let me use my old sim..i suggest that they call..and find out...theyre pretty easy to work with!

Great. I was just going by what information I found when I googled that question, everything that I read said no, TracFones will not work on the Net10 network. I have no idea though. That's a try at your own risk kind of thing.

Problem is I don't see in your information any listing for a sim card I see a Secure digital card slot.

Well, I did say "I can't think of anything else, so if you have any questions, just ask."...
Are you asking if it has a SIM card? If so, yes. Yes it does. :-)

Sorry, I have no idea. It's a TracFone. I bought TracFone minutes for it. That's all I know. Maybe you could google that question and find out?
