Wow thanks for that...I will definately look at that. I will add that to my list! Periwinkle is kinda a cross between lt blue and lt purple though so I would have to look for the beads. Thanks so much for the info.

I really am not trying to be rude but wanted to share this with you - http://www.melanomafoundation.org/facts/definition.htm

States "Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer. It begins in the pigment cells (melanocytes, see diagram right) that produce skin color. Most melanomas can be treated successfully if they are detected at an early stage. If melanoma is not detected at an early stage, it can spread to other parts of the body and is potentially a lethal form of cancer.

Since most pigment cells are in the skin, most melanomas start on the skin. They can occur in the eye and rarely in the membranes of the nasal passages, oral, pharyngeal mucosa, vaginal and anal mucosa.

Most melanomas (70%+) begin in or near an existing mole or dark spot on the skin. It is important that you know the size, color and location of moles on your body so that you can take note of changes in existing moles or the appearance of new moles. Some "birthmarks" (congenital moles) can also develop into melanomas.

Ordinary Moles are evenly colored, have sharply defined edges and are round or oval in shape. They can be flat or raised and are less than 6 millimeters (1/4") in diameter (about the size of a pencil eraser). Melanomas have an irregular appearance and are usually larger than an ordinary mole."

In response to the lady who asked about the colors for all cancer.... It is lavender (light purple) is for GENERAL CANCER. Melanoma isn't for all, melanoma (black) is specifically for skin cancer, sorry if I'm intruding... Just wanted to update the info a little.

Ok well according to the American Cancer Society (and I know this because I got the list from them and I am a 18 year Survivor of 2 forms myself) Black is for Melanoma which is all cancers and Burgundy is Multiple Myelomas and Lavender is for General Awareness of all Cancers.

I dont mean to sound stupid or insane but is there one for just cancer in general? My grandma died of 5 different cancers in her system and my cousin died from hodgkins Lymphoma so I would like one if there is one for all cancers.. Please

No question is stupid and you don't sound mean hun....Yes there is one for all Cancers call Melanoma and the colors are black and clear/white depending on how some make them. I am sorry to hear about your grandma as I lost mine to leukemia and my uncle to throat cancer and my daddy most recently in June 2011 to Lung cancer and I myself am a Survivor of Breast and Cervical Cancer so you see why this is so IMPORTANT to me! God Bless hun and please don't ever feel your asking a stupid question! My professor once told me "there is no stupid question" and I live by that now! =)

I am reading your auction here... Thank God you beat that!!! :) Bless you! I need to also ask that you pray for another friend of mine here on Listia, I will not give names but she has battled cancer for a long time, and also has ms, anyways she was recently hospitalized again shortly after Christmas due to seizure and now they have done xrays and think her brain cancer may have come back. she says she thinks they are only seeing scar tissue but they are going to do a biopsy to be sure... I figured you all would understand, so if you don't mind to please keep her in your prayers thatd be great... I wish there were some way to get rid of cancer forever... It is so hard and I know several people who have lost loved ones due to it :( But I know God has a plan for everything and all things good and bad happen according to His will... Sorry for rambling on on your auction page, I am going to be watching this! :) God bless you dear!

You bet I will! =) Thanks for your kind words and I know your friend is probably very proud to have a friend like you standing by them at this time as it is so hard to go through! God Bless you my dear and you and she will be kept in my prayers! Take care and know that God is in the driver's seat! =)

I have gastric ( stomach ) cancer..I cannot seem to find any items for that type..Do you have a bracelet ? Thank you
Jan 8th, 2013 at 7:09:09 PM PST by

I would think that would be kinda the same as Pancreatic which is purple and clear. I tried looking it up and then called my Cancer contact and she said there is no Specific one for Stomach but that she thought the same as I did. I hope this helps and God Bless you hun as I know what your going through....I myself am a 18 year Survivor of Breast and Cervical Cancers. You will be kept in my prayers!
