This was purchased for my son who had a DSI and this is a DS3D game with the notch on the side. he is 8 and wants to play his game and cut the notch off. the notch dose not do anything except prevent people from placeign the game in a DS that is not 3D. I works great and has package and inst. book. any questions let me know

DS games can be played on a 3DS. 3DS games can only be played on 3DS's.
