Roger Tallmadge Little Eagle established his Indian goods business in 1954 just north of the Wisconsin Dells. The business and museum grew into the largest Indian-owned Indian business in that state. His son Lance Tallmadge, who was featured in the July 12, 1992, Milwaukee Journal, stated: "The Winnebago have always been a part of what is now Wisconsin. The Dells served as a mid-point for the Winnebago Nation's yearly migration along the Wisconsin River and became a place of spiritual renewal. The U.S. government moved the Winnebago to a reservation in Nebraska in the 1870s, but as soon as they got off the train, some started heading home again on foot." Chief Little Eagle died in 1979.
