Yes, it is next to skin soft. This is a very good quality yarn. I can't believe I'm doing this here, and not on eBay where I can get real money! LOL. This is what you would expect to find in a high end yarn shop.

I make prayer shawls for my church to give to people who are either physically or emotionally sick. Our knit group gives out a lot of shawls.

I do that, too. I was given one when I was very sick, and it meant the world to me. Knowing all those prayers were knitted into it was a great comfort. Keep doing it. You have no idea how much it will mean to the person who gets it. You are a blessing.
