This lot of 15 seeds is from a pod I emptied on 25SEP12. This auction is for the seeds ONLY, not a pod. Datura plants are very poisonous to people and animals if ingested - as many plants are. If you have children or animals that like to play with, chew on, or just generally mess with plants; you may not want to get these. My dog doesn't like how the plants smell so he keeps clear, but that's not how everyone's pet may be with this plant. The plants are supposed to be for zones 8 through 11, but I live in Illinois and they grow great here - about 5-7feet tall and I've seen them up to about 5foot across. They have a lot of huge approximately 7inch flowers once they reach maturity. Best to start indoors about 3-6weeks before the last frost in Spring, acclimate appropriately to outdoors over a couple days, plant in rich soil, then water regularly. Some people just toss the seeds down in the Fall and let them go. You can check further info on this plant online from many sources. This plant has a single white trumpet flower per bloom.
