Frances scott key is honored on this stamp issued august 9,1948 in his hometown of frederick,maryland during the war of 1812.key penned the star-spangled banner which was later adopted as the national anthem.this stamp has never been used. Half of the credits from this auction will go to the Ronald McDonald house so thanks for looking and happy bidding.

Has stamp ever been hinged? Looks really nice, my parent's stayed in a RMH, thank you for giving to charities, bless you and may your reward's in life be plentyfull !

Im not sure, I know that the stamp is mint and in a sealed protector that it would have to be cut out of if removed (witch I would not advise). Thank you for your comments, they are appreciated. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask. thank you
