This phone has been very well taken care of. Has no scratches or scuff marks as well as no water damage.

Can you use it to get free wi-fi at cafes and other hotspots? Or do you have to have some sort of data plan on it to access the internet? Is it unlocked and jailbroken and all the good things that it should be? Does it come with the charger? Fanned and watching!

Yes this is a 3G phone so it can pick up wifi. Usually verizon plans at any cost come with a data plan any how. But if you do not have the data plan then yes it picks up wifi. Yes it is unlocked and all good to go! It belonged to my mothers boyfriend who switched from verizon to virgin mobile so they couldnt keep using this phone. This does not include a charger, however the charger it takes is the most common phone charger out there used for pretty much every phone even trac fones. So they are very cheap and very easy to just find from a friend or family member. This is unlocked but not jailbroken, it is a great phone that has been treated extremely well. Of course! When my mother used this she was on a contract with verizon, and her contract ended and is totally shut down, so it is all set and just waiting to be activated and used :)
