Beautiful pieces! These are part of aan Antimaccasar set for a chair and they are the armrests.They are not that badly damaged and can be repaired by someone who has a way with a crochet hook.The pattern is called Royal Pineapple" and came out in the late 30s according to my pattern book. I've made 3 sets of this and they are truly lovely! Hope the info helps and good luck!

Thanks for the info. I can remember my old relatives having these things on the arms of their chairs and I always wondered why they put them there. I'm sure someone out there will appreciate them more than I do. I kept them because it must have taken an insane amount of time to make them.

You're sooo right about the time! I can make a set in about a week but I'm disabled and have the time. My grandma would take nearly a month to make a set. Then there is the blocking and starching..... It's rather a fading art but I love to do it. It's apoint in your favor that you get What goes into these beauties
