Description

The listing, Laptop has ended.

This is a working laptop computer. However, before you wet your pants over this one, please read everything below to make sure you can actually use this.

This is an old laptop, manufactured around 1994. The only upgrade it had was a new 1GB hard drive in 1996. It does not have a modem or network card, so the only way you could get on the internet with this thing is if you had a PCMCIA card. It does not have any CD drives, DVD drives, or USB ports. Here are the specs:

Model#: DGI II-D-4D

CPU: 486 Cyrix DX2 66

Memory: 12MB (yep that's twelve megabytes) I do not think it's upgradeable.

Hard Drive: 1GB

OS: Windows for Workgroups 3.11

Software: Microsoft Office 4.x, Solitare, Minesweeper. Not sure which one offers the most productivity.

Has 2 PCMCIA slots, 1.44MB floppy drive, parallel port, serial port, VGA port, ps2 port, and built-in trackball.

Also comes with the ac adapter cord.

So why would you want this? I dunno. Maybe you could convert into one of those digital frame thingys.

I'll ship it anywhere in the USA for $15. If the winning bid >=300 credits, I'll ship for free.

Funny. It's a real kitty-butt warmer. I think my granddaughter might use it for her science fair project on antiquated electronics...have some ancient cell phones, too. Like The Brick. Remember that one?

Yep I remember the brick. If it still works, I'd bid on it.

Thos esuckers were heavy. It would cost a mint to ship...well, maybe a 10.50 flat rate box. I don't think they use the same frequency anymore. Besides, only one of the two has a battery, and there is no charger...Hmmmm. As a collector's item...it might have some value. About that of the VIC 20. LOL

My old 8088 desktop with Monochrome Monitor made an excellent door stop during the heat of summer AND an even better paper weight during tax season. At least this unit has Windows. : D

It is his old laptop. I picked it up at his yard sale a few years back -- it was sitting in a box with a bunch of pink flamingos. I'll be listing his old lawn chairs next week.

Some guys use these older laptops as diagnostic machine. Something to do with lower voltage output so it will not fry the machine being tested.
