Yeah, these magic crystals are amazing. (We use them in hydroponics, too!) We have more than a dozen of the coolers available...and/or are happy to share instructions on how to make them at home.

"Watersorb" is the brand of crystals we use (there are many many brands available online, but this is the brand most widely available at hobby stores, Walmarts, etc). Anyway, one small bag (maybe a pound?) costs about $8-10. Otherwise there are really no materials costs - you can use any fabric scraps. So the Watersorb web site has good instructions on how to make them, as well as other uses for the magic crystals:
