Take 2 AA batteries not included. It comes on and will take pictures but will not focus because lens needs to be cleaned. It got dirt in it while taking pictures of plants so now it will not go back in.The battery door need tape to stay clothes..So I bought a new one today.

It does not require any software if you have internet you plug it in with usb and it will load the kodak software for you..Thank you
