and especially those who do not lie or stretch the truth on their auctions.(and still do!)

Until they make it so BOTH bidders and sellers can give negative feedback and not just the one, who ends up with the credits...I can't come back. I have received about 5 neg. FBs in the past 3 months for filing disputes (the sellers got to keep my credits, I got to put more junk in the shoe boxes, and ONLY they could leave neg. FeedBack and THEY DID! when THEY LIED On the Auction!
(check my feedbacks for them)

I miss Listia when credits were not so high, to even try bidding!~ and when we did not need confirm. numbers~ Just Fun Loving Folks!
Just cannot afford the shipping costs either~to be honest.

I am opening a 2nd website this summer for "Healing Gemstones" and teaching local classes in wire wrapping~

Oh wow, I hate that you're leaving. I know how discouraged you can get on here though. I remember getting some of the moon & star charms from you once & was so impressed by the weight...listia is losing a great person.

Why shucks! Thanx so much! I have been on here, every week, just about every day, for the past 3 years and it has changed so much! I just got another request for help with a scammer.! LOL Listia should have been paying me for the past 6 months, to a year! I have helped about 40 people with scammers. I don't think staff cares anymore, at least they do not judge fairly any longer. If someone sends you junk, and you paid shipping,(or even not) staff's idea of "getting everything back to square one" is for you to return the item and pay shipping and confirm to get your credits. If you refuse to pay again- staff lets the seller keep your credits and give you negative feedback but you can only give them neutral. You get to keep the junk. How is that in any way fair? GEEESH! I know staff is very busy, but they used to look at photos when it was junk and you did not have to return it. They also would not let folks use vulgar language on here and now they don't seem to care. I am so brokenhearted to leave and I have tried many many times to get staff to change some rules but once they "suggested" "Del. Confirm #s" they ruined the site. Now if you cannot afford one- 90% of the time the buyers now say they did not get it.Staff will tell you you can get free confirm #s, but that is only if you spend $5.80 to send priority mail. I just have to give up. Even some of the older sellers are lying now on their auctions, I guess to get even. If you see anything "Real Topaz" please run the other way. NO ONE gives away $1,000.00 gemstone rings. And the beads for sale now??? SIX BEADS starting at 1500 credits? Even at 499 that is outrageous! SIX BEADS? Get Serious! Taking very large photos of teeny 4mm crystals doesn't make them more valuable, either! We used to (last year or the year before) get 50 to 100 4mm crystals for about 1200. credits or so. Strands of 30 gemstone beads for about 1000! Its a shame...and Boy, I can go on! LOL (its just that I care so much about this site)

It is so sad that everyone here that commented here has said the same thing! They "understand why" I am leaving. Ever since Listia staff put the confirm numbers on the auctions- and you can't afford to buy one (staff told me if I pay for priority mail I can get a free new! WHO can afford that?) a LOT of sellers are lying about not getting their items. That never happened to me the first 2 years I was on here, every day, every week....until they "suggested" we buy them. They runined Listia by not wanting tyo cover a few liars. In those days, liars were kicked off after their 2nd attempt to steal- now they are encouraged to do it- by insisting we pay more to protect opurselves, and letting them get away with it. All we are protecting is Listia's credits.Doesn't the stafff care any longer about the site? Did they sell out to someone on Wall Street or something? Its all about spending credits now... for everything! Its so sad. It used to be an honest and fun site. ;(

Its really the way too high bids that are getting me! I have had 1300 credits for 5 days now and I could not find one thing I had enough credits to bid on! Not even one charm that had free shipping! I have done free shipping for 3 years and now and I have to hear all their woes about having to pay shipping. They are asking (and getting?) 1500 credits lately for a couple of small 8mm beads! Oh well! maybe I'll save my credits and check back- maybe the bids will go back to reasonable ones? (I can have hope! LOL)

I'm new here also and have not been sent bad items; but I have received things that were a lot smaller than I thought. I also am dealing with a scammer who says that they didn't receive an item even though I sent 8 items with it and everyone else received it. it was only 800 points but still its the point. I agree just put the box on here post pics and put that the buyer pays shipping I see a lot of these types of boxes where people say the box is full of stuff I have received in other auctions. at least you will get some points towards something else and if they pay shipping it will only cost you your time.

It is human nature to take advantage and find loopholes, and I'm afraid of getting scammed. I haven't yet, but would rather leave before that happens. It is soooo sad that so many feel as you do, too. I think Listia gets a certain crowd of "not wealthy" folks (or more like me that cannot resist a deal) becasue it is supposed to be a free site.What is sad is that folks who tend to have less, do seem to want more than they are offered.
Most of the scammers on here now though, are the big sellers that get their fake "Swarovski" crystals (you can tell by the color names as Swarovski has certain color names they use ONLY for their crystals) and "Topaz" stones ("Rubies", Sapphires", etc) off of Ebay and they are all imitation. Even the sterling from China is not real sterling. And sterling stamped "Italy"and "Mexico Silver" are also a blend of some sterling and base metals because those countries allows a less percentage of real sterling to be marked that. So many people don't know these things and the sellers take such advantage of them all.
We won't even talk about the scams that started when listia started telling us to buy confirmation numbers! LOL Good luck. Thsi used to be a great FREE site, maybe it will again.

These really are amazing, detailed brass ones. They are pendant size, MUCH bigger than charms! If you win this auction- I would let youy trade something in the auction for some more of these if you'd like. I have listed quite a few, handmade crystal dragonfly pendants on here over the years...too bad I am leaving- you might have liked one of them. Sorry. Thanx for peeking!

I hate that you too have had bad experience in Listia (I had on one of my first and only listings which has me now leary to post any new listings unless I charge for shipping & DC)

There really is a lot of stuff here! LOL Anyone who has won an auction from meknows my items are honestly listed, all new (unless stated not to be) and you WILL get your items! I do have a few negative feedbacks but they are from filing disputes with scammers who sent me junk and I refused to pay shipping to return their junk. Did you all know that ONLY THE ONE WHO ENDS UP WITH THE CREDITS can give negative feedback? (sooo the scammers left me neg. FB for filing against them for dishonest listings!)
They got my credits- I got junk and neg. Feedback. How is that fair?
Staff used to accept good photos of obvious junk but they do not any more. You, the buyer, must pay for shipping and a confirm.# to get your credits back- whether or not you paid shipping to get the junk or not!
It makes no difference what the circumstancesare, either. Just FYI for those who did not know all that..
I still love Listia dn the staff works very hard, but they need to make changes that are fair to buyers when they win junk from scammers!
THAT is why I am leaving. Too much junk.
Also- the fact that we are being forced to pay for confirm #s.or liars will say (about 75% of the time now) that they did not get the item. I was told a buyer did not get my item and I told her I was leaving Listia because the shipping costs were causing me to not eat right.Well...suddenly her item arrived!
This is supposed to be a free site. Right? LOL

Joyboy, I am so sorry that you are leaving too. I too feel your pain, as I have been taken advantage of as a seller, and as a buyer. I wished there were another site similar to this one that is like this site used to be...oh well, that is just a huge wish! Anyway, you could put up your shoe box of stuff, and do a flat rate box, and charge them the shipping fee. I normally do free shipping, unless I do a flat rate box. I only do one of these every couple months or so to clear out some of the "garbage" that I get sent.
I do hope that you make your way back one way or another. All of us buyers and sellers that are on the good side need to stick together!

I too will probably use up what credits I have left and hit the trails. I came for bargains and a good time. Not high credit demands and drama.. Know how you feel-I only started a few months ago and my first auctions went well except for 1-I ended up refunding credits to someone when I know they got the package (4 packages mailed this one had no tracking # and they took afvantage of that) but have to say tracking is great! Keeps people a little more honest!
