Description

The listing, 1939-S Wheat....Nice for Beginner....(San Francisco Mints aren't as easy to find) has ended.

This is a 1939-S Wheat. For those of you new to numismatics, San Francisco mints are always snatched up quicker than pennies minted in Denver or Philadelphia. It's in nice condition but one you'll likely replace with a better one as your collection grows and you begin to refine the grade of your coins. None-the-less, this is a GREAT one to start with! If you're the winning bidder please provide your Listia verified mailing address immediately upon the close of the auction to enable us to get this to you in a timely manner. NEVER BID ON ANY COIN OR ALLEGED PRECIOUS METAL WITHOUT RESEARCHING FIRST! THERE ARE MANY SCAM ARTISTS WHO USE A "PLAY ON WORDS" TO LEAD YOU TO BELIEVE A GRAM OF SILVER OR COPPER IS WORTH MORE THAN IT'S MINISCULE VALUE OF A FEW CENTS! Thanks for looking and please fan us! We return the favor of all fans!

If you live in a large metropolitan area you should be able to find a coin shop. Many nice coin shops have baskets of old wheats sitting on the counter and you can sit down and go through the baskets, selecting only what you want. They'll charge you on average about a dime and you can sometimes find awesome deals that way. Large coin dealers don't want to spend their time searching through pennies so it's a great opportunity for new, novice and regular collectors to find some nice coins. Also check the internet for coin shows in your area.
