This is a portable handheld battery operated plastic bag sealer. It comes with the instructions and the box. It appears to be new, but I will not tell you it is for sure new. It doesn't look like it has ever been used but the box top is ripped. I did put batteries in it to make sure it worked and it did. It takes 4 AA batteries ( sorry not included, to keep the shipping weight down) you can use this to make your own size ziplock storage bags, or reseal bags. If you have a question please ask, I can not promise to know the correct answer but will do my best. Comes from a smoke free but furry children friendly home. Fan me and I fan back. What type of bags does it take? Is it a roll type? Can they be purchased or are they included? Is there a temperature range listed on the instruction manual? Thanks for your response.

Hi and thanks for your interest. This is just a small hand held battery operated sealer so it doesn't come with bags. You can reseal or seal up a plastic bag or create your own sized ziplock bags from a larger ziplock bag. I havent used it on anything I just checked to make sure it worked. So I don't know if you can use it on potato chip bags or not. I will double check the instructions about the temp range (I'm at work at the moment) but I don't remember seeing anything about that in the lnstructions. There are no controls on it, so no on/off switch and until you press the top down to make contact the heating element stays cool. Hope this answers your questions.
