But yes if you look around Listia there are many people trying to get watcher's badges, that let you post a link to your "Watchers needed" auction. I don't think of it as competition (McD's vs BK) if the auction item isn't anything similar to yours. Ever hear of "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"? A little kindness can go a long way.

The best way to get advertisers to leave you alone is to post in your 'auction rules' that you don't want people asking for watchers or advertising their auctions. I certainly don't put up with it on mine. The way I see it, if I want to watch someone's auction, I will of my own accord. Or if I see an auction title asking for watchers, sure, I'll do it. I have the same policy with people fanning me. I'll fan someone if I like their stuff, not if they ask. You don't see athletes or movie stars going around asking for people to be their fans. They will do it themselves.

That being said, I love your auction and will be watching (I'd bid, but my recent yarn-a-palooza bidding spree has left me low on credits, lol). Keep up the good work! :)
