if you go and unlock the device it would work as long as it uses gsm because at&t uses gsm. if you need to know how Google it and research the most widely accepted way to do this.

I'm certainly sure that you can acces wifi on this phone even without service on it. I recently test it and YES wifi is definitely available. This is a great phone!
