I am a hygienist, and every time I ask my patients what kind of toothbrush they use (manual or electric)- it never fails that the ones that use electric have cleaner teeth!
I use this one myself, and alternate between a Sonicare, which are also good. Electric toothbrushes are great because they help prevent recession- where the gums start pulling away from the tooth- exposing the root and causing sensitivity- by letting you know when you're pressing too hard. Recession is caused by brushing too hard- and this brush has a red light that comes on when you do!
It also has a timer- it will pulse once for every 30 seconds when you're ready to move onto a new quad (brushing 2 minutes= better clean!) and after the 2 minutes it pulses multiple times to let you know you're done.

What it comes with:

1 brush handle (package says 2 but I am using the other!)
3 brush heads- one circular/normal one and 2 "deep sweep"- if you angle bristles down/up at gumline you can get a few millimeters below the gum to stimulate and clean- which will help prevent and reverse gingivitis! This can also be done by flossing- which I stress as IMPERATIVE to keeping your teeth as long as you live! It IS NOT healthy to have bleeding gums if you brush or floss- means you have too much plaque or tartar buildup under your gum- and gum tissue and eventually surrounding bone that supports your teeth WILL start to break down- this is called periodontitis- and gingivitis is the reversible start of it!!! People underestimate flossing so much....but, I digress!
